No check Engine lightAll the gears work goodOnly when I put in to reverse the car shut off
Automotive Expert
Was any work done. Sounds like the torque converter is locking up in reverse causing the vehicle to stall. When was this transmission serviced last?

It only has 60k miles
Automotive Expert
It goes by years the fluid not just miles .

1995 Dodge Ram pretty old
Automotive Expert
Yes sir,. It can be a pressure issue as well. Try leaving it in neutral for 5 minutes then go to reverse see if it stalls . If it does not then you need to have that fluid changed and flushed of all debris as well as the filter replaced. If it does it can be internal in the transmission. If you need more help please use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, please consider rating me as 5 STAR!! It is much appreciated. Ok the other question that I have it's about the oil pressureIt just go up and down
Automotive Expert
Ok that can be a faulty oil pressure switch common or there is a actual clog on the oil pick up in the engine they do get clogged.

how can I fix that
Automotive Expert
Start by checking the oil pressure switch and if there is sludge in the engine or the oil is super dark then you need to check that oil pick up.

I change the oil and filter 5 months agoWhen is the oil pressure switch located

How do I fix the torque converter
Automotive Expert
That a transmission shop would need to do and remove the transmission and see what failed. Then they would need to rebuild it to fix the issue.

Let me post a step by step bare with mehttps://www.dieselhub.com/maintenance/47rh-47re-transmission-service.html

What is the transmission oil pan nuts torque sequence
Automotive Expert
I’ll try to post that for you

Ok thanks
Automotive Expert
Snug all transmission pan bolts down then Torque to 156 in-lbs (inch pounds) in a criss-cross, star, or alternating sequence. Torque all bolts a second time clockwise or counter-clockwise around the pan to ensure none were missed
