Q: Do I need to remove lower radiator hose to replace main engine wiring harness on 2007 Sienna 3.5L?

asked by on August 03, 2017

I had main engine wire harness replaced at dealership due to rodent damage. Car was towed to dealership. Droce car home and noticed engine was overheating after driving 20 minutes. Pulled off road and inspected under hood for problem and noticed lower radiator hose was not connected to radiator. No evidence of coolant spray on underside of chassis.

Had car towed back to dealer. They said wire harness replacement didn't impact lower radiator hose and they have no idea how it came off.

Since there is no evidence of a catastrophic or immediate release of coolant, any idea how hose came off? Does repair guide suggest draining radiator or removal of lower radiator hose to conduct wire harness repair?

My car has 170000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
