I have a 2011 Chevy equinox.I am getting a notification to service my stabilitrak when I turn my car on. Then if I press the [brakes](/topics-brakes/) not long after moving it will sound as if they are grinding, primarily on the driver’s front side. Then it will say it again but also said my all wheel drive is off and an ABS light will turn on in my dash Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs? I have not checked the fuses Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Equinox yourself? What have you tried so far? I am hoping to call a place tomorrow so I can set up an appointment. So far I haven’t done anything. Once the all wheel drive shuts off it rides fine

Hi! My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will be able to assist you. I’m sorry that you’re having trouble with your vehicle. Don’t worry though, we’ll be able to figure this out. Thank you for taking the time to let us help you out with this problem and hopefully we can sort it out quickly. Please understand that I do not know your knowledge or capabilities so I may need to ask questions to find out basic information to help solve your specific problem. Sometimes it may take a moment for me to respond because I may have to look up information about your concern. I appreciate your patience and will provide responses as soon as possible. Connecting a scan tool to the system will be necessary to see why the warning light is on because there are many different components in the system that could be faulty. It could be a sensor problem, wiring issue, module fault, ABS pump malfunction, brake problem, etc. Scanning the system will produce a trouble code that will identify what specific component is having a problem. The trouble code will allow a diagnostic of that specific component failure. If you can have the vehicle scanned and give me this code, then I can pinpoint a specific problem to repair. My goal is to give you the best service possible and to help you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know. If I’m not online at the time, I will respond ASAP when I get back.

Thank you! My boyfriend has a scan tool at home so once we make it back there we will see if we can get a code

Battery keeps dying on my car

Power motor window fuse keeps blowing on a 2001 F150
Generally, it means that the motor itself is shorted out (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-window-motor-regulator-assembly) and it's just popping the fuse (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-check-fuses-by-rocco-lovetere). That's almost always what it is. You can take the door panel apart and you can disconnect the motor from the switch...
A/C stopped working
I would suggest checking the flap vents inside your vehicle's air conditioning ducts. These vents open and close the direction of air flow. If the rear vents are working correctly, then it is likely not the A/C compressor or blower...

What else can be making noise under the front of my 2013 Ford Explorer

My car is running HOT and my reduce engine light comes on every now and then. I have an 04 grand prix.

Can somebody mess up my brakes putting a battery in my 2013 Ford Escape?
Just by replacing a battery cannot damage the brakes in any way unless the battery cables were accidently hooked up backwards. If a battery was hooked up backwards then the systems and fuses can be burned out or damaged. This...
