My 2006 Silverado has been shuddering between 45 and 55 mph. I have replaced the u joints in the drive shaft, checked to make sure the drive shaft balancing weight is still attached, replaced the tires and had them balanced, front end alignment. Shudder is felt in the seat/body of the truck and not in the steering wheel. Mechanic's Assistant: How old are the tires? And have they been a problem in the past? Does the shudder disappear immediately if you put the transmission into neutral or does it still shudder

HI ok, take for a test drive and check and let me know results

it disappears immediately
Automotive Expert
HI Ok, it is in the drivetrain, not wheels/suspension/steering Most likely it is the torque converter causing the shudder as it is a common issue. Most times a fluid flush and adding some lubegard to the fluid will resolve this Thanks for using Just Answer and letting me help you. I hope I provided what you needed. If you find more help is still needed, let me know by listing out any remaining questions you have on this concern. I hope the remainder of your day is well.

Hi there. Typically when you have dimming headlights, it's due to an electrical relay that is loose, damaged or faulty in some capacity. It can also be due to excessive dirt or a build-up of debris on the headlights itself....
