Q: Car suddenly slows down then jerks forward speeding up

asked by on November 01, 2017

Hi! Thanks in advance. So, I know that I need to get my axle joint replaced but do not have money right now so I am still saving up. Does that affect my problem in any way? Anyway whenever I accelerate it will speed up a bit then at random times (like really random) will slow down completely (almost at place) then jerks forward speeding up. It kind of scares me a bit. I would totally go for an inspection and repair but it costs so much.

My car has 57174 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Tried pressing the clutch pedal and it just flew to the floor. It wouldn't come back until I brought it up myself.
