Q: Car not starting after engine exchange.

asked by on

Had an engine exchange for the same size motor. Now, the car turns over, but will not start.

My first question would be, has the new engine ever started? If the new engine has never started, then there has to be a problem with the installation or the engine is different to the point of being incompatible with the electronics of your car. I would recommend to have the two engines years matched and the electronics matched. Have a mechanic come inspect your vehicle to pinpoint the problem.
