Q: at oil temp light on

at oil temp light on

My car has 194000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

If the automatic transmission oil temperature light is always on and even when the engine is just started then you may have a bad wire or temperature sensor. If transmission is actually getting hot then it may be due to a clogged cooler or the transmission clutches are slipping. This will need further diagnosis to pinpoint cause.
