1997 Acura CL 3.0 Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far? I just put a motor in my car and it was running rough. I put a obd reader on it and it says p0304 mis fire. I did have to adjust timing on it. Mechanic's Assistant: Have you metered out the ignition system? Whats that? I cleared all trouble codes before starting this

Hi my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will be assisting you today. The system will offer a phone call but please disregard. So you cleared the code and the same code returned? Have you pulled the plug to make sure it’s getting fuel? If so have you checked spark on that cylinder?
Automotive Expert
If you have spark and fuel on that cylinder then the next step would be to do a compression test on that cylinder.

Car starts and idles rough. I bought the motor from the internet. I installed it myself. 100% so I finally got it to started after adjusting the timing and yesterday I had 3 mis fires and some other code and today when I started it I only had 1 code p0304. Not sure what to do from here.
Automotive Expert
just to be sure. Do you have the proper ignition timing order correct?

Timing is good. Ill check to see if there's fuel and spark to that cylinder.

Ok

I found a vacuum hose off and attached back and it was running great till I drove off. Number 4 cylinder misfiring still. I checked to see if vacuum hose was still attached and it was. So I replace the distributor cap rotor and spark plug and see what happens.
Automotive Expert
Ok if it still misfires you can try swapping an injector from another cylinder and see if the misfire moves over.

Sounds good thank you
