Q: A.c. running when engine is off.

After running the a.c. for awhile I got home turned the engine off and noticed after 20 minutes or so that the a.c. was blowing warm air out of all the vents. What would cause this problem?

My car has 83000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
