My 67 mustang inline 6 was slow about starting, would need to run at higher rpms or else it would die before it warmed up, or sometimes wouldn't start at all. Also at highway speeds it would lurch violently. I replaced the alternator and the fuel pump but now it won't start at all. The lights come on and I can hear the starter spinning but it won't try to turn over at all. When replacing the fuel pump oil and gas squirted out of it. I know I hooked up the alternator correctly but I don't understand why it won't even attempt to turn over
