Q: 2006 Ford Mustang. Engine sputters when a/c is on. Dies when lights turn on. new batt/alt installed and still same problem.
Car was at idle and suddenly sputtered out and engine died while a/c was on. Later, while driving, engine sputtered and died again with a/c on. Check of the battery at auto store showed dead battery and could not check alternator. Next day, new battery and alternator were installed and the engine still sputters with a/c on (when in park and applying gas at less than 2000 rpm) and shuts off immediately when headlights are turned on. Engine also shuts off immediately when lights switched to "P" position whether or not the a/c is on or off.....OBD scan showed codes of U1900 and B1353...but no engine light or other codes....
