Answers to common Nissan D21 questions

Q: Doorlock and door opener broken
Answered by Andrew
It sounds like the door latch needs to be removed and replaced. The door latch and locking mechanism are built into the same part and can easily be replaced. I would recommend having a technician from YourMechanic come out and...
Q: 10 amp fuse keeps blowing
Answered by Eduardo
Hello. If your meter fuse is blowing when you put the vehicle into drive then it is likely that your vehicle has some sort of wiring issue. If the issue occurs when you shift into drive, then it is likely...
Q: Air conditioner parts exchange - Will AC parts from a 1994 fit a 1989?
Answered by Jay
Just because both have the D21 motors you will still need to verify the mountings to the compressors are the same. The connections and hoses may all be different since body style and engine compartment has changed over the years....
Q: Brake lines have air, bled many times
Answered by Kevin
Hello. Moisture in the brake fluid is being boiled off as steam when your brake system temperature gets above 212 degrees (at sea level). The steam re-condenses as water in the system BUT air pockets can be created and remain...

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

Kevin showed up ready to do his job and did just that. He showed me a couple important things on my vehicle I had overlooked and was nothing less than incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and informative. I would, without hesitation recommend him to anyone I know and would gladly use him again.

I have to be honest, this was the first time that, I have EVER felt 'at-ease' around an auto mechanic. Jonas was thorough and straight forward with me about the issues; gave me a quote directly after doing the diagnostics on the car and, as it turned out, it cost me less than the original estimate. When does that ever happen with auto repairs ?? He was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. You folks made the whole experience convenient and painless. I'm "sold" on the "Your Mechanic" concept. I'll probably never take my car again to a traditional mechanic !! Jonas was a pleasure to deal with !

Stephen was very professional and spoke to me in terms that I understood. Although the news about the car was not great, he explained the why's and what it would take to fix it. I will call on him again. Many thanks!
