I have been a professional automotive technician since 2005, but started working on cars when I was a kid. I earned my degree in Automotive Technology in 2006 and hold multiple ASE certifications. I am able to perform diagnostics and repairs on Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. Currently I am the lead technician at a repair shop in Kennesaw. When he came to complete the work he arrived on time (not easy considering I was a late appointment) and the work was finished in a timely manner Today I am back on the road thanks to Michael. Great mechanic and LOVE the convenience of Your Mechanic. Will use them again when needed and will request Michael work on my vehicle.

Quick repair of a starter...once it was diagnosed. Downside to mobile service, if you dont know what is wrong with car...you may have to wait an extra day for the fix. No ding to mechanic. Just nature of the mobile beast. And me having no clue.

After a false start (not caused by Michael), the appointment was rebooked. I am ecstatic about his timeliness (he was early), and the work he completed since most replacement parts for my vehicle are discontinued. He made numerous recommendations for additional service based on the age of the vehicle. I will be using this service in the future.

I wanted a professional opinion about a used car I was going to purchase. Tried YourMechanic because I needed a someone quick. Made appointment with Michael Straub in the Alpharetta, GA area. He arrived a little early (after calling first) and began looking at my car. It didn't take him very long because it was a 2016 Toyota from CarMax and they sell quality cars. What I liked most was the ability to speak face-to-face and ask questions about the car like where the transmission fluid dipstick was; as it turns out, most new cars have a sealed transmission system so there is no user entry point. He even told me about the different types of transmission services and which ones to avoid. Seems like, to get a proper service, they need a $20,000 machine that sucks ALL the fluid out so everything gets replaced with fresh. He was very informative and easy to talk to; encouraged questions. Would definitely recommend his services and will ask for him in the future. He is a true nugget of gold in the car repair business!

Honda Accord

I had my starter go bad in my Honda Accord. Michael came out around 7 PM at night, and diagnosed my problem, along with several other problems with my car in under one hour. He was extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of cars and their parts, and was very educational on what exactly was going on. The next morning he showed up 15 minutes early and had my car ready to go in 45 minutes. I would definitely recommend him! Very knowledgeable, kind, and efficient!

My truck would not start. He performed a thorough evaluation and determined it was the fuel pump. He gave me quote on the spot and set time to have it repaired.

Michael arrived on time and quickly replaced my car's tie rods. He answered all my questions and was able to find solutions to problems that other mechanics struggled with.

Michael was here on time with the proper parts and tools to replace my fuel pump. Repair was done within time estimated, and most important to me, he had diagnosed the correct problem as to why my truck would not start. Displayed excellent knowledge of my vehicle. I plan on having him work on my other vehicles as the need arises.

Michael came out for a reinspection on a service I had done by a different mechanic last week. He was punctual, friendly, and informative. He was able to determine that my problem was indeed tied to the previous service and under warranty so the inspection was free of charge. Also he was able to diagnose the other issues that should soon be addressed. Request Michael, he is professional and proficient.

This was my first time using the services of Your Mechanic and I must say it was simply a wonderful experience. Michael was "very professional" from the time he sent me the text to let me know he was on his way until he completed the job and explained everything that he did in detail. I also like the fact that he did an overall evaluation of my car and let me know what other services I needed to take care of. On top of that he gave me the quotes for those services on the spot and even offered to set-up an appointment on the spot to get a specific service done, but I was not able to do so at the time. Because of Michael and the great job he did, I will definitely use the services of Your Mechanic again. Also, I need to add that it started to rain and Michael continued to do the work so he could get the job done. Now tell me that is not true commitment and dedication to your work. Once again, I was very pleased with Michael's work and overall professionalism and I highly recommend him to work on anyone else's car because you will not be disappointed...not at all.

Michael showed up early for a pre-purchase inspection and did an outstanding and thorough job. He patiently answered all of my questions and took some extra time looking at the vehicle history report and explaining some things to me. Can't say enough positive comments about him, would hire him every time.
