My truck is backfiring alot when idling and when accelerating. Brand new spark plugs.

My car has 180000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.

You may have a broken valve spring or sticking valves and will need to have the engine compression tested to see if one or more cylinders are low on compression and may need to have a valve job done.
