Job done as promised but quoted for 2 hours of work and only took 1 hour to complete. Overcharged for repair as it was cheaper to have it done at the local garage which quoted $130 for the same work that I paid over $200 via yourmechanic.com

The problem may be the reluctor wheel. This is what the sensor reads as the wheel turns. If one of the teeth on the wheel are damaged or missing, the sensor will not be able to determine speed. The problem...

It sounds like your M3 is leaking coolant - that would explain the "clear, but slippery" liquid - although it is unclear from where. Rather than risk engine overheat from driving it further, I would recommend having YourMechanic diagnose this...
