Maxell presented himself professionally and immediately displayed his expert knowledge about the problem my car was having after he inspected it. He worked as a BMW mechanic for some time. I felt confident the whole time about his ability to work on my car. In then end, he exceeded my expectations by finishing the work before the allotted time. With the little interaction I had with him, I know more about my BMW 528i than I did before. I'm fully satisfied with Maxwell.

Answers to common BMW 3.0Si questions

Q: After starting my car, the secondary fan suddenly turns on now, and a few minutes later, appears to be overheating. 2011 BMW 740i
Answered by David
Hello - the possibly "false overheating (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-troubleshoot-car-overheating-causes-by-michael-france)" symptoms you are experiencing may be caused by a faulty thermostat, which is electric, and linked to the engine management software on this engine. If the thermostat is sticking closed, the engine would...
Q: Bad crank sensor
Answered by Robert
Hello. Just about anything is possible but it is unlikely. I have seen crank sensors (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-crankshaft-position-sensor) go bad and cause many issues, but if you are not having any other issues then I think that it is unlikely. If I...
Q: Calibration?
Answered by Ronny
The intake system should be checked for leaks. A vacuum leak from items like a broken air intake boot, broken/disconnected vacuum lines, or a leaking intake manifold gasket can lean out the air/fuel mixture or disturb intake airflow enough to...

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

I have to be honest, this was the first time that, I have EVER felt 'at-ease' around an auto mechanic. Jonas was thorough and straight forward with me about the issues; gave me a quote directly after doing the diagnostics on the car and, as it turned out, it cost me less than the original estimate. When does that ever happen with auto repairs ?? He was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. You folks made the whole experience convenient and painless. I'm "sold" on the "Your Mechanic" concept. I'll probably never take my car again to a traditional mechanic !! Jonas was a pleasure to deal with !

Very impressed with the quality of work. Ned was on time and on budget. There were no surprise extra costs. Ned even helped me out with my other car, even though I didn't have an appointment for the other car. He took care of all of my car problems and he even found me a coupon for an oil change. I will be using this service again.

Stephen was very professional and spoke to me in terms that I understood. Although the news about the car was not great, he explained the why's and what it would take to fix it. I will call on him again. Many thanks!
