Five stars for Mark Lenhart and YourMechanic. The best vehicle repair experience I've had, start to finish. Mark Lenhart went the extra mile at every step in the process. He helped me diagnose an additional problem the day before our appointment, and ordered the parts to complete that repair as well. He worked quickly and professionally to repair issues with fuel system, suspension, and oil change. During the process he documented each repair, recommended further work, and wrote up a detailed report. Mark is a great mechanic, highly recommend his work and the YourMechanic team.

Answers to common BMW 2600 questions

Q: Power steering
Answered by John
It sounds like your power steering pump may be failing. The squealing you hear might be the belt slipping. The shiny flakes are not a good sign, they mean something in the system is starting to come apart. You may...
Q: Idle jumps up and down
Answered by Robert
Hello. If the Check Engine Light is coming on, then the first thing that would be helpful would be the computer codes. These can be retrieved with a scan tool. A mechanic would scan the computer first to get these...
Q: I changed my fuse for the lighter a fuse fell ou next to it I put it back now car starts but will not drive could u help please
Answered by Jeff
Without seeing the fuse box and which fuses fell out this may be tough to diagnose. Try checking the immobilizer fuses (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-check-fuses-by-rocco-lovetere) (12/37) to be sure they are in the correct place and not burnt. If this does not work,...
Q: The air conditioner and heater control panel has no power, no lights, nothing
Answered by John
Since you seem to get some temporary action by messing with the fuses, the problem may lie in the power distribution box. Underneath the fuse panel is a network of connections, some of which may overheat in an older car....

BMW models we service

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

I have to be honest, this was the first time that, I have EVER felt 'at-ease' around an auto mechanic. Jonas was thorough and straight forward with me about the issues; gave me a quote directly after doing the diagnostics on the car and, as it turned out, it cost me less than the original estimate. When does that ever happen with auto repairs ?? He was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. You folks made the whole experience convenient and painless. I'm "sold" on the "Your Mechanic" concept. I'll probably never take my car again to a traditional mechanic !! Jonas was a pleasure to deal with !

Patrick was very professional and polite. He inspected my car and found that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. He is very friendly and I would DEFINATELY recommend Patrick to all my family, friends and co-workers.

Whitney went above and beyond in solving my issues. Extremely friendly and extremely professional! Thanks, Whitney!
