What type oil and brand should I use?

My car has 120000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

The vehicle calls for synthetic oil that provides better protection and should be on your oil cap indicating the proper weights and the brand should not matter as long as it meets GM standards on the oil cap or in your owners manual.
