Power steering assist fault signed come on when started my car

My car has 1100482 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

This is a known issue related to an electrical problem with the power steering system in the Ford Taurus. I would suggest contacting your Ford dealer to inquire regarding a recall on this vehicle as there were a number of these recalled for this issue.
