**Hello, Welcome to JustAnswer.** Thank you for using JustAnswer. The EPC will come on when there is a malfunction with your engine being sensed. Your vehicle will automatically limit the amount of throttle usage to help prevent further damage to your engine. There might be sensors like the crank sensor, cam sensor air volume and or other sensors misreading and sending false information. What you need to do now is to scan the system for the fault codes to see what the possible cause could be. You can have the system scanned at the dealers and or a parts outlet store. I hope this information will guide you to the fault. Should you have the codes you can return to me so we can take this further. Greetings, Martin.

How do the seat belts work?
Seat belts, also called safety belts, are vital components for the safety of the driver and passengers alike. The purpose of the seat belts is simple. If the vehicle is in an accident, there are extreme forces involved trying to...
Car making spinning, rattling noise
The first problem I think of is spark knocking or pinging. This is when the combustion of the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder does not start off correctly in response to ignition by the spark plug, but one or more...
battery keeps going flat when left overnight
You didn't indicate the age of the battery (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-long-does-a-car-battery-last). If the battery is "new" (less than 2.5 years old) and passes a load test, you should check for parasitic loads (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-diagnose-a-car-battery-drain_2). With all car accessories off and key out of...
I have 2000 E320 Mercedes Benz and code p1491 came on with Check Engine Light.
Hey there. Your question isn't entirely clear, but I can address the code you have listed. The P1491 code has to do with your A/C system. Specifically, the high side of the A/C is too high. This could be for...
What does the 15% next to my oil light mean?
Hi, thanks for writing in. I'd be happy to help. This is telling you (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/understanding-honda-s-maintenance-minder-system-and-service-codes-by-brent-minderler) that your car has 15% life on the oil left, before it is recommended to change it. Make sure the person that changes the oil...
Going down the road...it jumps and dies...I pull over and it starts back up
Intermittent low fuel pressure could cause the problem you are describing, perhaps aggravated by a restricted fuel filter, however, stalling is also commonly due to faults in the ignition switch, hall effect sensors, idle speed control (ISC) system, loss of...
Turn signal and hazard lights are not working. 2000 Chevrolet Prizm
Hi there if the fuse for the turn signals and hazard warning lights is good, the flasher unit (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-hazard-turn-signal-flasher) - same integrated unit services both functions - is likely bad, and should be replaced. I would recommend a turn signal/hazard...
Trucks starts up but have to give gas to keep running then dies starts up a second time then it will stay running.
It sounds like you may have a dirty or failing idle air control valve. The idle air control valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/idle-control-valve-replacement) monitors the air intake as it is mixed with fuel prior to being injected into the engine at low speeds...
i think its the water pump
Be sure the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator is closed and secure. There are a variety of potential leak points in the cooling system. If, using a mirror, you can see coolant leaking out of the water...
