Q: Steering wheel vibrating at highway speeds

asked by on March 16, 2016

The steering wheel vibrates when going highway speeds. I can see the passenger's side mirror vibrating, but not the driver's side mirror. It also feels like the car is pulling to the left a little. I also hear a knocking sound from the right side when going over speed bumps.

The suspension on the right side may have strut problems or bearing along with ball joints. If one or more items are bad then both sides and the rest of the suspension should be checked for problems. I recommend you seek a certified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, to come and test why your steering wheel is vibrating.

Loud noise when I open passenger door.

The rear vent windows will not close. Have checked fuse, it's okay.
Hi, thanks for your question. The rear vent windows use a small motor that will open and close the window. Sometimes these motors will stick (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-window-motor-regulator-assembly), and will not open or close. Try to tap the window with your hand...

Hi there - the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-manifold-absolute-pressure-sensor-map-sensor) is located midway, on the top of the straight, "tube-like" portion of the intake manifold. This "tube" sits above the "octopus-like" 4 air tubes into the engine. It is attached...
