Q: Location for a map sensor for a 2008 Holden Viva

asked by on February 27, 2017

Where does the map sensor sit in a Holden viva 2008

Hi there - the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor is located midway, on the top of the straight, "tube-like" portion of the intake manifold. This "tube" sits above the "octopus-like" 4 air tubes into the engine. It is attached by a small, single bolt to the intake manifold. I recommend a MAP sensor replacement performed by a mobile, professional mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, who will come to your location, replace this component, and get you back on your way.
