Squealing noise from brakes Inspection $94.99 - $114.99 Get a Quote

Your brakes can squeal for a number of reasons. If the brakes are worn out, then the wear indicators can make noise. If the brakes have glazed over from heat then this can occur also. I start by removing the wheels and checking the brakes. If the brakes are fine, then they may need to be slightly sanded down to remove the glazing. This can also happen if the wrong type of brake pad it used. If you need to have this checked, consider YourMechanic, as a certified mechanic can come to your home or office to diagnose your squealing brake noise and make the needed repairs.

Does the mass airflow sensor affect how your brakes work besides rough idling?
Hi, thanks for writing in. While the mass airflow sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/what-does-the-mass-airflow-sensor-do) does not have anything to do with the brake system, it will definitely affect how the engine will run and can cause it to run rough or idle rough...

My car started sputtering when i turned it on. Tried putting it in reverse and the same. Sputtering like it wants to turn off.
What you are describing sounds like a dirty or failing idle air control valve. The idle air control valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/idle-control-valve-replacement) monitors the air intake as it is mixed with fuel prior to being injected into the engine at low speeds...
I have a 2009 chevy aveo. The signal and hazard lights just stopped working.
Generally this is something caused by the flasher relay (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/hazard-turn-signal-flasher-replacement) going bad. This is a small relay that allows the lights to flash based upon current flow and a resistor inside that causes them to flash. When this is faulty,...
