Q: Overheating and heat blowing cold

asked by on January 20, 2017

My car has been overheating and the heat blows cold. I thought it was the thermostat and had that changed but it didnt help. I was tild its my head gasket but i want to weigh out all options before just to the expensive fix. The hose that goes to the engine is always cool and coming from the engine is hot. What do you think it may be?

My car has 230000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
