Q: Q: O2 sensors

asked by on

Went to have smog done and the O2 heater-sensors aren't working and won't pass smog. Help please

My car has 80000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

The O2 sensors are sensors that indicate the way the engine is running. If the sensors see the engine running lean then they will indicate codes for the engine running lean. Your engine may have problems other than the O2 sensors that can cause the engine codes for O2 sensors. Have the complete engine checked for running lean or rich depending on the O2 sensor codes you are getting.
