I changed the transmission silonoids on my 08 altima now it wont move and goes into limp mode Mechanic's Assistant: When was your transmission fluid last checked? I just put new stuff in Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Altima yourself? What have you tried so far? This is what happened my fluid pressure sensor went out so I couldn't find a pressure sensor so I just went to the auto wrecking place I got a whole new valve body it took a car out of limp mode and I could accelerate which I couldn't do before but it wouldn't shift properly so I took it back out and put the old seal noise off the valve body on the new one and now it won't move it all

Jonmy i have a 08 altima that had a code on and said transmission fluid sensor so it put my car in limp mode and accelerated slow but it shifted fine...i decided to go to the wrecking yard and just change out the whole valve body

Doing that it took it out of limp mode and took code away but it wouldnt shift right...so i pulled it out and put the old shift silonoids on it because they worked and now it wont moveHiNice to met u

I am sorry to hear about the problems you are having on your 08 Altima. I will do my best to help you with this.When you did the solenoid you removed the valve body correct? Also, what code do you have and where did you get the CVT fluid you used?There is a rod on the valve body that has to line up with the shifter linkage. If you do not line this up, when you put it in gear it won't move. Are you sure you have this lined up?

I removed the valve body and bought cvt fluid at walmart

I did notice the valve body i put on there was alitle bit different though only one silinoid had a wire plug like the rest and that spot on the old ons doesnt it looked like the pressure sensor. Next to it

First off, when it comes to the Transmission fluid for this car, do not use any other fluids accept the CVT fluid from the dealer. Any other fluid can cause premature Transmission failure since it does not have the exact same friction materialsWhat code were you or are you getting?

I start it and it revs up fine and no code but then it goes into limp mode and idk what code yetWhats the pic of how do i know if its aligned

That sounds like you did not line up the shift rod

It kinda seemed like it was pulled way out but the braket oly fit in the grouve at that position

Okay I changed my solenoid back on my valve body and now it jerks it moves but jerks it's topsstops whyWould having the wrong transmission fluid make it do that

Yes, if you use the wrong fluid it will contaminate the transmission and can certainly cause that because the bell is slipping

I put it in gear and it jerks and stops car after moved

That could be due because the CVT belt is slipping

its a good possability that if i go do git the right cvt fluid it might work

If you already used the incorrect fluid, the transmission is now contaminated and will require replacement
