Q: New coils plugs and wire plugs now car starts and stalls out within 3 seconds.

asked by on January 20, 2018

Car started misfiring so i replaced the plugs, coils and the wires. After all this was done now the car will start then stall out within 2-3 seconds. It was running fine just misfiring before this. All fuses good. Gas good. What could this be. Someone told me that it has to go to the dealership because it is the computer causing the misfires and computer will need to be replaced. Doesnt sound right

My car has an automatic transmission.

I would recommend retracing your steps on this. It is possible that an electrical connector or a vacuum hose of some kind could have been disconnected and not put back during the replacement of the spark plugs and ignition coils.
