Q: Need tips on replacing the shift handle in my car

asked by on

I want to remove the stock automatic shift handle from my car and replace it with an authentic leather one. Any recommendations on the technique to do this?

I would recommend against performing this modification. Your vehicle is equipped with a shift interlock system that might not work after you’re done. If you decide you simply cannot live without a leather gear selector, I suggest you have the installation performed by a professional.
