Q: My window is off track.

asked by on

My window is off track. The motor runs, but the window does not move.

This is a very common problem. What has happened is the cable that moves the window up and down has come out of place. This is most likely due to one of the plastic pulleys that the cable follows has become brittle and broken. I would ask for help from one of the mechanics at YourMechanic to come to you and replace the window regulator.
