Q: My car shut off when I pulled it in park and let it idle for 1-3 minutes.
I drove to a friend's house and parked in his driveway without shutting my car off. After a few minutes my car shut off and the check engine light came on along with the oil light.(the car was park at about a 10° angle when this happened and was parked at a 15°-20° angle for a few hours prior to this incident.) The lights went off when I shut the car off and it started right back up after I shut it off and the check engine and oil lights were off. After I drove back to work I waited a few hours to check all my fluids and they were all perfectly full. The check engine light still isn't on. It has been idling a little rough prior to this incident but not badly. Does anybody have any idea what could've made my car shut off? And does anybody know what is making my car idle so rough? Thank you in advance!
