Q: Multitronic gearbox

asked by on

Is the audi A4 and A6 uses the same mutitronic gearbox. The the gearboxes compatible?
My car has an automatic transmission.

Unfortunately it’s a short answer. No.

Having worked with them for a time, there are different variations of the Multitronic / CVT transmission. They differ between the A4 and A6, as well as differ with engine choices. They are not interchangeable and also may require the transmission control module be replaced along with the replacement transmission.
