Hello and welcome to Just Answer My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I've been an automotive engineer since 1996 and together we're going to solve this issue. on a modern injector resistance should only be about 3-4 ohms when measured over the pins what is the issue with the car?

Hey Matt, I'm getting 14 for the resistance across all 8 injectorsI think I found the issue. Seems one of the injectors is grounded, hence always ON and always spraying fuel making a pool of fuel on one of the cylindersThe connector and the wire attached to it all look good. Not sure where to go from there.The issue started to appear after car sitting for 6 months. Not sure what would cause an electric ground just by car being sitting for a while.

there may be a corroded connection or the inejctor harness has chafed through or been nibbled on by mice? I'd say to trace the wire harness back into the main loom , checking it for damage along the way if you can't anything obvious then you may have to either strip the outer insulation back or consider replacing the whole harness with a good used item

Mice???? Bingo, we had rats at the other place that I used to live. It happened to my roommate's car as well. They tend to like chew on all kind of rubber. The injector is brand new. I sprayed a ton of electric leaner on the connector. They look good to my eye. How far along the line would you go to chase the electrical issue? I mean do i have to go all the way to the [battery](/topics-battery-mercedes/) or the computer?

Just read the voltage on the injectors w/ key in ON position. All of them read around 8 volts but the one in question on cylinder #7 reads 11 volts which is what my battery delivers. Does that give any clue?
