Ok, that would indicate you have oil leaking from the engine and hitting the exhaust and burning off. Being that it is where the exhaust connects to the engine, meaning the exhaust manifold, that is normally the valve cover gasket that is leaking and will need to be replaced.

Ok thanks I appreciate the info. We did notice about a half dollar size worth of oil on the ground when looking at at which makes sense with whay you said
