We have a code of p0301 and p0430. The Jeep is chugging but only under load. Mechanic's Assistant: Just to clarify, what's the exact code? And have you tried to reset it? Tried to reset and it came right back Mechanic's Assistant: What is the model/year of your Jeep? 2007 Jeep wrangler Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Wrangler yourself? What have you tried so far? I Am on the road. Stopped at a rest area and turned it off for 10 min. Cleared codes. Restarted Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? I am not real mechanical. I need to know if I will damage it if I keep driving? Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* welcome to just answer! I will be assisting you with all of your vehicle questions today. I’m really sorry that you’re having this issue and I’m going to help you through it, but please understand that I (respectfully) don't know your skill level or tools you have to assist us to diagnose/repair your vehicle. Also, understand that I can't see, smell, hear or touch the vehicle either, so your patience/understanding is appreciated. I do not know anything about the fees or charge so please if you have any concerns, direct them to customer service. You will be automatically offered a phone call by the website, which I am not personally able to complete. A phone call is not necessary or required and you can ignore the offer if you wish. what engine size? have you done any repairs to the jeep as of yet?

how far are you from your destination?

Lol. I'm in Alabama and going to MichiganAlabama headed to MichiganIs it safe to drive even to the next exit
Automotive Expert
yeah it will likely cause some issues driving that far. The misfire number 1 is likely the main issue and the 430 is caused from the misfire.

What will fix misfire 1do I need a mechanic to do it
Automotive Expert
yes u can get to next exit to a repair place but not to Michigan lol spark plugs coil are the likely causes

Is that hard to fix or expensive
Automotive Expert
well if you looking to do it yourself look it up on youtube see what involved and if you need more tools then what you have to do it.

it’s not hard?
Automotive Expert
look up repairpal.com put in the year make model engine size and you location then spark plugs or tune up and it will tell you rough cost for doing this repair in the area your in.

My husband just replaced all the spark plugs
Automotive Expert
something that's easy for me with 25 years of experience and tools might not be the same for someone that has no tools and no experience.

A spark plug coil is diff than the plugs?
Automotive Expert
ok did this happen after the plugs were replaced or did he do it with maintenance n mind? yes the coil is what's fires the spark plug

He saw they needed it. He was giving the Jeep a once over before our tripHe’s on a flight right now or I would be calling him in case you are wondering. Lol
Automotive Expert
no worry so likely cheap plug bad coil coil unplugged something like that is likely the issue

Ok. Thank you. I will stop at next exit and see who I can get to look at it or if we can do ourselves. My daughter works at advance auto and is pretty handy.I really appreciate the feedback
Automotive Expert
your welcome anything else i can answer?

No thank you so much.
Automotive Expert
