Q: Issues going into reverse 2002 Ford Escape

All of a sudden my car wont go into reverse and makes a loud noise when i try to go backwards went to the bank came back try to straighten out my parking put in reverse it felt like it was stuck making a loud noise when trying to back up please i need my car
