My tail lights on the right side of my car wont turn off Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the bulbs? Have you checked the connection? What have you tried so far? I just noticed it last night so I just removed the bulbs so it wouldnt drain my battery and I inspected the wiring. I was looking up possible causes for this so I could know what to try to fix Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? No ma'am

Welcome Katilyn, look above the brake pedal at the brake light switch there is a little plastic button in the pedal that breaks and keeps the brake lights on. ill try to find you a picture be right back. Here is a u tube video of what it looks like. if it is the problem most auto parts stores carry the plastic button.

There doesn't seem to be a problem with the brake light switch or the plastic button. Its not my brake lights that are staying on. Its just my right tail light thats staying on even if my lights are off.

Ok, try unplugging the brake light switch and the head light switch and see if it stays on. If so check for any aftermarket wiring that could be powering the light. both tail lights the front lights and the license light are on the same wire they should be all on at the same time.
