Q: Gear labels worn off

asked by on

I can't see what gear the vehicle is in when shifting from Park to Drive, etc.

There may be an electrical failure in the lighting portion of the dashboard. If all of the dashboard lights are out, you may suspect a fuse. However, if only one section is out, it could indicate a failure inside the unit. The signals from the transmission range sensor should be checked as well. Consider having one of our mobile experts at YourMechanic inspect your electrical system for faulty components.
