IF you are changing the Ignition Switch Cylinder, you will need a Locksmith to Key Code the New Ignition Cylinder to your KEYS IF you are changing out the complete Ignition Switch and Cylinder, then no, you will need the NEW Keys Programmed via Ford Dealer or Mobile Locksmith . IF you are just replacing the Key Lock Cylinder you will have to have a LOCKSMITH REKEY you Lock Cylinder to your OLD Keys Otherwise, you will have to have the NEW Keys that come with the Key Cylinder PROGRAMMED for the PATS Unless you try leaving a OLD Key taped or wire tied to the Ignition Switch for the PATS to read the OLD one

ether way i will have to call a lock smith?? Corrwct?Do u know which one would cost less to program the new key or rekey the part?

To REKEY, it should be less to take the Cylinder and your Keys to the Locksmith, but you should call first Mobile to you usally has additional charge, especially if the Locksmith is going to install and not you IF you have the NEW Keys Programmed, be sure to have the Locksmith Program as MASTER KEYS Some New Keys cannot be Programmed MASTER KEY IF they are NOT Factory FORD Keys
