I just purchased it I knew it didn't have a key but it was not told to me that it was a computerized ignition and when I went to pop out the ignition to get it home the anti theft mode was activated it's a 2003 Ford Escape also everytime I put a new fuse in the ignition key place it blows so I know that it has to have a ground issue or something to but I really just want to know what part I need to fix the ignition problem and the anti theft Mechanic's Assistant: Do all the fuses have the correct amperage for the circuits they're in? Yes Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Escape yourself? What have you tried so far? I think that is just a wrongful placed wire going into the ignition censor Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? But I have someone who is going to rewire it for me

hopefully not, its hard to say right now with the fuse thats blowing the computer may have been damaged, once the wiring is fixed and they try to program the key they will know if there is a computer problem or not

Do you think that it's going to be a lot of money to fix it and I probably be better off trying to get something else I'm better with cars than most but I'm 33 female self taught and I don't have any one to really help meJust your opinion I don't want you to get into trouble for answering anything that they would say is unprofessional matter of opinion do you think that it will cost more than than the 400 I paid for it plus the work I already put in it to get it running
