Is the brake pedal moving when you feel the brakes applied? is there a abs light on now?

no brake pedal movement. and no abs light on at all
Automotive Expert
ok so a few things could be going on here, the calipers could be sticking, so you want to check all calipers and piston travel, replace if necessary, the rubber flex hose could be collapsing causing this, the system may need to be bled, and the abs module could have failed, I would start with a bleed and test drive, if your till having issues check calipers and drums, if thats ok replace hoses and if your still having problems the module will need to be replaced. I would suspect the booster but that would only be if the pedal was moving.

whats the flex hose and where is that located? are you talking about the hoses that go into the caliper? i just bought the truck a few months ago and supposedly the guy just had the brakes done on it. and how much do you think repairs like this would cost.
Automotive Expert
yes that would be each hose that goes to each brake, and it really depends on what the problem is is could be 20 bucks for hoses or hundreds for a module, if your not doing the work yourself even more for diag parts and repairs.

i think i fixed it. it actually had something to do with the emergency brake in the rear. i think it was put together wrong and it was definitely stuck. So i got it unstuck and end up putting it back together and drove it home and it didn't feel like it was dragging one lil bit... Thanks for your input...

Master cylinder went out, now there is a loud noise coming from the brakes.
Brake noises are not generally associated with the master cylinder. A failed master cylinder (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/brake-master-cylinder-replacement) can cause a low or spongy brake pedal but generally does not make any noises. If however you hear a loud hissing sound when the...
