Recently, when I pull up to a stop light and my car idles, I feel a "hiccup". It is a fairly rough idle followed by what seems like a misfire, but no engine codes have appeared. I have changed the purge control solenoid and the fuel filter in hopes this would solve the issue. No luck. I cleaned the throttle body with no luck at solving the problem. I thought it may be the MAP sensor, but a mechanic told me that the GM MAP Sensor is very reliable and unless it hasn't been diagnosed as the problem I should not change it. The entire motor was changed along with the spark plugs about 4 months ago. Most recent oil change about 2500 miles ago. I am at a loss for what may be causing the issue. Clogged fuel injectors? Dirty PCV hose? Please help. Thank you!
My car has 163000 miles.

Hi Taylor. Thanks for contacting us today. There could be multiple issues causing the symptoms you’re describing. Sometimes it’s as simple as a clogged fuel injector, loose electrical harness connection or a vacuum leak that can cause rough idles or a random misfire. However, it’s also common for multiple issues together to create the symptoms. Since there is no clear-cut or easy to answer diagnosis that we can offer, it’s best to have a professional mechanic come to your location to diagnose the symptoms - by completing an on-site inspection first, before attempting or chasing repairs.
