My cigarette lighter adapter stopped working.

Hi! The cigarette lighter is on a fused circuit connected to the battery. The wiring for the socket uses thin wires on a low amperage circuit. Generally, too many devices hooked into the socket, or just one drawing more power than the circuit was designed for, can blow a fuse. This shuts down the circuit and prevents overheating, which can cause a fire.
