I’m very sorry that you’re having this issue and together, we will get this figured out. I will need your help too because I can’t see, touch, hear or smell anything that’s going on with your vehicle. We may also require some specialized testing tools in order to assist us in diagnosing the problems due to the complexity of today’s vehicles. Okay, so you may be entering into limp mode due to a bad throttle body or possible trans issue. We will need to do some bidirectional tests with a scan tool checking for more current and pending codes. A lab scope may also be needed to test the throttle body.

Would that also cause the gas mileage to drop. It went from 23 mpg to 14.5 mpg

I have a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country w/ Stow and Go. 70,000 Miles on it. It was driving fine one day, but when I was on the Express way it started having a hard time keeping up with traffic. I had to push the petal harder than usual and it sounded a bit smothered. Now it will get to 45 mph pretty easy but after that it slowly gets up to 55 mph. If you hit the pedal hard it doesn't shoot the rpms up like usual either. I changed the spark plugs and wires. And put in a new fuel pump. I thought that it needed a new fuel filter but this car doesn't have an external fuel filter. Its built in to the pump. The car had a egr valve code pulled up. So I put a brand new egr valve on.
