no i only changed it because thought that was the problem but the problem is still there

Ok, no problem, I just wanted to eliminate any possibilty that a chunk was in the [exhaust](/topics-exhaust-chevy/) pipe.
I would check the fuel pressure regulator, make sure there isn't any fuel being sucked in through the vacuum line. I would say if it looks good, then the next step would be to check the timing. If it's off it may cause a rich mixture and also the feeling of something holding it back.
