Q: Car turns over but won't crank.

asked by on

Can an ignition switch recall for fire hazard have anything to do with why my car will turn over but not crank when the recall was 12 months ago and I never had it done.

My car has 143200 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

It may be possible that a recall is not cause of no start. A recall will not cover your diagnosis and you will need to contact a local dealer to have the recall done first and then if it does not fix the problem of no start then you will need to have no start diagnosed.
