Timing Belt Replacement $318.59 - $1516.66 Get a Quote

Hello there, when the camshafts on your 1998 Chrysler Sebring become misaligned it can cause some serious issues. If the cams are not timed properly it can cause the engines valves to come into contact with the pistons causing extensive damage. The camshafts should never become untimed and if they are should be fixed immediately and the engine not turned on until they have been repaired. A qualified Technician such as one from YourMechanic should be called to restore the camshafts to the proper positions and repair the timing belt.

What others are asking

Knocking from front end.
This could be a lot of things from the sway bar links to the control arm bushings. I suggest you have your vehicle inspected and repaired by a trained professional, like one from YourMechanic. They will be able to hear...
Code for fuel level sensor.
This means that the sensor inside your fuel tank isn't reading properly. This could mean faulty fuel gauge readings and could even leave you stranded without fuel. I suggest having a qualified technician, like one from YourMechanic to diagnose and...
Oil pressure dropping
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it sounds like your engine is at about the end of its useful life. If a motor seizes, the piston has become so hot and expanded that its stuck in...
Misfire in cylinder one
The cylinder pressure does not tell me anything about any of the other cylinders pressure. Also, was a wet and dry test or a cylinder leakage test done to show what valve is bent or burned. I feel the engine...
Ignition broke off
I believe the ignition lock cylinder is an integrated, non serviceable component in the steering column. The entire column may have to be replaced (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/steering-column-replacement). I recommend having a qualified technician, like one from YourMechanic, take a look at it...
I told no cv joint on rear wheel drive on 95 crown Victoria. True or no?
It's true that you have no CV joints in your Crown Victoria, instead it uses a live rear axle, also called a solid rear axle. You are most likely hearing the sway bar bushings in the front rattling and squeaks...
Rich run, bad start, sometimes white smoke
The white smoke is a bit worrisome - usually an indicator of a blown headgasket, which will also cause rough running, especially at low speeds from a compression imbalance. The throttle position sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/throttle-position-sensor-replacement) may also be sending "off" signals...
Air conditioning clutch is not engaging unless I bypass the relay.
It does sound like an issue with the pressure switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ac-pressure-switch-replacement). When the switch fails, the compressor will not come on. Bypassing it turns on the compressor, which changes the pressure and allows the system to work. I would also...
Thermostat replacement without removing throttle body -- easiest way to do?
You do not need to remove the throttle body. Once you remove the air cleaner and air inlet tube to the throttle body then drain coolant. Remove hose from thermostat outlet pipe. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe and then you...
