I hear a clunking noise from the back of the car when accelerating from a stop. The same thing happens sometimes when stopping.

There have been several instances with this model Lexus needing new brake pads installed that are making noise. It sounds like you may have something in the brake system causing a noise when stopping and letting off the brake. I would recommend having a technician come out and inspect the rear brakes and determine what the problem is.
