Q: Car does not start even after I jumpstarted it.

asked by on

My car would not start. I tried jumping it, but still does not start.

A: If the car is turning over but not starting...

If the car is turning over but not starting then you will need to test for spark and fuel. I would have a technician look it over and test the starting system. If it is not turning over at all you need to listen for a click to see if the starter solenoid is trying to start. If you hear a click then the problem may be the battery or the starter. I would have the battery load tested first then go from there.
