I am not. I was, but recently installed a new thermostat. I have poor heat and very little output in terms of the force of the air coming out of the vents.

does the blower motor fan change speeds when you switch speeds?

It does.I have always had this problem with this truck, no matter if I am attempting to get A/C or heat. I thought it may have been a cabin air filter clogged, but my truck does not come with that

sounds like the heater core is clogged or something in the hvac assembly, the first thing you want to do is remove the fan and check that and all the duct work you can see from the fan hole, if nothing is there you will need to pull the assembly and check doors and core for obstructions

could the heater core cause poor air speed as well?
Automotive Expert
yes it needs to flow through that, debris can accumulate in that over time

Got it. I have flushed the system upwards of 10 times so far, and even installed a new radiator. I still for some reason have a rustic color in my coolant. What should I do to combat this?
Automotive Expert
sounds like you have a ton of rust particles in the coolant jackets on the cylinder walls, its very hard to get that stuff out, you can try remove the pump and flushing there with water pressure, and there should be a drain plug on the block somewhere if you can access that pull that and flush there as well, you may be able to get a flex cam in to see if there is debris there.

Thanks for the advice. I will try flushing the heater core later and hopefully that will bring the heat back.

your very welcome

Cylinders misfiring.
