Q: Broken speedometer

asked by on

The speedometer is not working.

A: The speedometer on these vehicles may have ...

The speedometer on these vehicles may have a bad electrical solder joint that may be loose on the back of the cluster. The radio codes would be needed to reset the radio, after removing the cluster, to inspect and repair the circuit on the back of the cluster. If the circuits are good, then the speedometer may need to be replaced by a certified speedometer repair facility. I recommend having a mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, come out to you and diagnose the issue with your broken speedometer.
